Gifts of stocks or mutual funds

There are significant tax advantages to donating appreciated stocks, bonds, and other securities that you have had for at least one year. By law, you are allowed to deduct the full current market value of the investment and avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciated value. In Memory or Honor of

We would love to help you honor someone on his or her birthday/anniversary or a special holiday. This is a way to make a donation that will help make a positive impact on young mother and babies life while honoring a family member, friend, or colleague. We will appropriately acknowledge all gifts with a social letter expressing your support to Mother's Refuge in their name. Many families have chosen to make donations to Mother's Refuge instead of exchanging gifts for the holidays

Host an Event

There are a number of ways you can help raise awareness and funds for our programs. Organize a "Blue Jeans Day" at the office, host a bowling tournament, conduct a chili cook-off or spaghetti dinner at your church or club, or collect donations or gifts for our moms and babies. Donations to Mother’s Refuge pay off in the changed lives of vulnerable young mothers and their babies. They also pay you back in practical ways at tax time.

Mother’s Refuge, a state-licensed maternity home, has been a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization since 1987. All donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt for all donations for tax purposes.

Remember, Mother’s Refuge is not affiliated with any large organization that underwrites our operation. We depend solely on the generosity of our many friends, businesses and corporations that graciously support us. We thank you in advance for your contribution to help provide a positive environment for homeless pregnant and parenting teens and young moms.
