Ashley’s Story

Ashley experienced a life that was extremely difficult. She was placed in foster care until she was officially adopted at 5 years old. Unfortunately, her home life was very abusive.

After she moved out of her parents home, life did not get better for Ashley. She had 2 beautiful daughters, but she fell prey to an abusive relationship. After suffering years of abuse, she decided her daughters deserved more than a life of hurt. She left her abuser, but was homeless with nowhere to turn...

until she found Mother’s Refuge.

Mother’s Refuge provided Ashley with the resources and support she needed to reach stability, helping her become the mom her girls so desperately needed.

Ashley and her daughters now have a safe environment to call home, which has allowed her to excel in her career. Ashley recently received a promotion within her company and was awarded a scholarship to finish her college education. Ashley is an Honor Student and will graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Trauma in December of 2024.
